Welcome! Our season begins with delicious, tender asparagus in May, hand-picked and sold direct from the farm. The purple tops show you the high sugar content of our delicious and healthy spears, and once you've tried asparagus this fresh, you'll join us in watching for them as one of the most pleasant signs of spring!
Vegetables are sold at North Country Farmers Market in Bemidji or from the farm on a pre-order basis, in season (view our vegetable calendar). Ter-Lee Gardens is located in north central Minnesota, Clearwater County, just south of Bagley and 20 miles north of the Headwaters of the Mississippi (beginning of the Mississippi River). We only sell what we grow! |
A Time for Rest and ThankfulnessFarmers Market is over for the year. All crops have been harvested. It is now time to rest and reflect on what turned out to be an interesting summer. It was a late spring and a cool summer, but thanks to a later than usual frost and fall, things worked out reasonably well. The fall fieldwork may not get done, due to all the rain we have had recently, so that will make for a more stressful spring. We are hoping to put the strawberries to bed soon (cover them with straw), but we need some colder weather to put them into dormancy. Such is life on a fruit and vegetable farm. We would like to thank everyone for your interest and business. You are what makes our work worthwhile. Have a wonderful holiday season. If you have any questions for or about us, please let us know.
